Bronx commuters who ride the 6 train are changing their routines in the wake of station closures.
Closures of stations on Zerega Avenue and Buhre Avenue went into effect at 12:01 Saturday morning and are expected to last until February.
The MTA says stairs and platforms will be fixed, and a pigeon deterrent system will be installed. The station will also be repainted.
They say it's part of an ongoing $109 million renewal program along the Pelham line.
Commuters are being helped by the Bx4, Bx8 and Bx24 buses, which will connect them to open subway stations.
