A fifth grade student at Columbus Magnet School is competing in the Global Invention Convention after winning big at nationals.
Skye Martin, 10, created the Pump & Twist - a solution for the soap or shampoo at the bottom of a bottle that the pump won't reach.
Skye Martin's mother, Nancy, says her performance at Columbus Magnet's Invention Convention got her some top awards at the state and national Invention Convention.
Skye Martin says perfecting her submissions and video presentations has been stressful, but she's feeling a little more confident about competing on the world stage.
The family says they are going to pursue a patent on the Pump & Twist. Winners of the Global Invention Convention will be announced in a virtual ceremony Aug. 20.
