The Connecticut Department of Motor Vehicles asked residents to avoid coming into branches Tuesday due to intermittent computer outages.
The DMV said that all registrations and licenses that were set to expire Tuesday were automatically renewed until midnight Wednesday.
There is no word on what caused the computer issues, but last week the DMV announced it was opting out of a contract with 3M, the company that had been hired to revamp its computer system.
