Connecticut is set to enhance road safety with the installation of wrong-way detection technology on off-ramps at six different locations across the state.
The signs, equipped with red LED lights, will activate and flash red if a car is traveling in the wrong direction.
Additionally, these signs will transmit a signal to the Highway Operations Center and Connecticut State Police.
By next week, approximately 40 ramps will be equipped with this advanced technology.
The state aims to have over 100 ramps completed with this system by the end of the year.
