Beauty is on full display and in full bloom at Outdoor Design and Living in Fairfield, but employees admit prices have gone up a bit this year.
Nursey Manager Casey Palmer says they have everything for outdoor living and decor to jewelry and accessories and dresses.
But Palmer admits items have grown more expensive because of supply chain issues.
"Increases in shipping and freight has raised prices," she says.
Palmer says what makes business even more unpredictable is that she isn't sure what's going to arrive until shipments show up.
"I'm not exactly sure what I'm going to get when I receive an order, until it's sitting out in the parking lot, getting unloaded."
Store manager Amanda Desmond says after months of uncertainty, and placing her Mother's Day order around Christmas time, her store is in good standing and fully stocked.
So how much can people expect to spend on mom this year? According to Investopedia's Caleb Silver, the average family will spend around $265 in Connecticut. That's the most in the nation.  Here are some of the items that will cost you more.
Silver says clothing is about 6.5% higher this year than last, flowers, are up about 5.8%, postage is up about 3.8%, and jewelry is up about 2.8% across the board.
