Connecticut's Secretary of the State Stephanie Thomas says the state will not have early voting this year.
Thomas said there is not enough time to implement it for the upcoming fall elections. She spoke about the issue Sunday morning on WFSB.
Thomas had asked lawmakers to approve a plan by the end of March. While they have not, it's likely they will agree on 14 days of early voting.
News 12 has reported that many local voter registrars have said they were not prepared for early voting to be implemented this year. Concerns included finding poll workers and overall cost.
