Connecticut Stew Leonard’s locations receive special shipment of baby formula

Stew Leonard’s got a special shipment of baby formula Monday as the country continues to face major shortages.
The shipment came from Puerto Rico and will be on sale in the three Stew Leonard's stores in Connecticut while supplies last.
Stew Leonard Jr. says he is selling the formula at cost.
“We didn't sell baby formula at Stew Leonard’s a week ago. We brought it in just to help the moms out with the national shortage, and we probably won't sell it once the rest of the store shelves get full again,” he said.
There is another stock of formula in Germany that the store and state officials are working to obtain. News 12 is told that is a bit more complicated because that shipment requires FDA approval.
