As more and more people in the state become eligible to get the COVID-19 vaccine, some are finding it hard to get an appointment - but a group is helping people do just that.
Joel Leyden, a New Yorker now living in Connecticut, created the Vaccine Angels Facebook group a month ago.
The idea is to help people find appointments and offer support to those anxious about COVID-19.
Leyden says he's noticed it's become harder to get an appointment for the vaccine, so he's advising people to find a pharmacy or health care provider in an unpopulated area.
He says each vile of the vaccine represents six shots, and out of 10 appointments, two or three don't show.
Leyden says if you are at a pharmacy waiting, you may get one of the excess shots.
He knows supplies may not be able to keep up with the demand, but he offers this advice - be persistent, patient and polite.
