Connecticut voting results website restored after being down statewide

Connecticut's website responsible for reporting election results was down for hours Wednesday after experiencing technical issues, Secretary of the State Denise Merrill says.
The election night reporting system had a technical issue affecting the display of results, but all of the results are tallied and entered into the election night reporting system locally," Merrill tweeted Wednesday morning.
The system was later restored after 12 p.m.
Merrill says all the results that were entered into the system safely and securely while the outage was happening.
She says the third-party vendor that manages the reporting system is worked to display the results as normal.
