5ds agoCostco is ending its senior hours put in place during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Costco's special shopping hours allowed seniors, health care workers and first responders to shop without the general public.
The company says store hours will return to normal on April 18.
Senior hours from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. on Tuesday and Wednesday mornings will still be offered until then at most store locations.
Stop and Shop stores have already ended their hours for seniors and others, saying, "While those dedicated hours have ended, we continue to put care for our people and communities at the forefront as we have, since the beginning of the pandemic."
Whole Foods and King Kullen have also stopped special hours for seniors and first responders.
Some in the community think stores should continue with the special hours.
"I think it's wrong," says Seaford resident Laurie Saurman. "Especially for first responders and senior citizens."
Places like Walmart, Target and BJ's are still offering specific hours for certain people.
