Police say one person is dead following a crash on Route 8 in Trumbull Wednesday night.

Police say a vehicle was merging onto the roadway, when it collided with another vehicle, sending that vehicle into a guardrail.

The driver was ejected from the vehicle and died. A juvenile passenger and the driver of the other car sustained minor injuries.

Drivers were diverted off at Exit 10 at the time, but the roadway has since reopened.

Anyone with information on the crash is asked to call police.
