? Crews have called off a search in Westport for a missing swimmer, but searchers say they can?t be sure that anyone ever went missing.
The search began when a caller reported seeing a swimmer in trouble at around 12:30 p.m. Sunday. After hours of searching, crews say they found no evidence that anyone was actually missing.
?There?s no missing persons right now, we are continuing to interview people,? says Assistant Chief Robert Kepchar, of the Westport Fire Department.
Anyone with information on the possible missing swimmer is urged to call the Westport Police Department at (203) 354-INFO.
