Norwalk -- As Crystal Theatre approaches its 40th anniversary, the organization is marking America's 250th anniversary in a unique way.
This summer, campers ages 9 to 17 are bringing history to life in an original musical,"Puddin'heads 1779." The production takes place over a single day in Norwalk's history — the day British troops arrived and burned the town during the Revolutionary War.
Told through the eyes of children in a schoolhouse, the story gives young performers a chance to connect with history from a perspective they can relate to.
Crystal Theatre's production of"Puddin'heads 1779" will be presented July 24-25 at the theater, located at 66 Bayview Ave. in Norwalk. For tickets and more information, click here.
