CT DEEP offers safety tips as coyote spotted in Westport

The Connecticut Department of Energy and Environmental Protection says if you come across a coyote, never feed them and to teach kids to recognize them.

Reports of a coyote sighting in Westport prompted officials to issue a safety warning.
A woman in Westport spotted the coyote and called Animal Control.
The Connecticut Department of Energy and Environmental Protection says if you come across a coyote, never feed them and to teach kids to recognize them.
DEEP says you can try to scare them off by making loud noises.
