Gun store owners say they've noticed an increase in sales following the mass shooting in Newtown.

In Darien, Bob Montlick, the owner of Bob's Gun Exchange, says gun laws are strict enough and he urges lawmakers to pass legislation based on facts instead of emotions. He says a nationwide background check has been in effect since 1968 and the state already requires that guns be locked up while not in use.

Montlick also insists that it wouldn't make sense to ban a specific weapon just because it was used in a high-profile crime.

As for people outside the gun industry, some Darien residents say current laws fail to measure up and need to be changed.
