AAA estimates almost 48 million people were traveling this holiday weekend.
In Connecticut, state police are dealing with increased calls and incidents.
Since Friday morning, there have been almost 5,000 calls for service.
A total of 275 accidents have been reported across the state and 27 DUI arrests.
News 12 Connecticut reminds residents to drive carefully and to never drive under the influence.
