A Connecticut musician is using his music to break the stigma that surrounds men's mental health.

Rapper Johantz Wilson, known as J Wils, moved to Bridgeport when he was 12.

With Men's Mental Health Awareness Month starting on Sunday, he says it's important for men to speak openly about their struggles.

He hopes his new album reminds listeners that no one has to face those challenges alone.

"This album has messages on it that will uplift you and give you hope for tomorrow. When you listen to this album, no problem is too big to solve and overcome," Wilson says.

His blend of R&B and hip-hop has already been featured in films and commercials.

His new album is out now on all major streaming platforms.
