Two men from Brooklyn will serve over 15 years each behind bars for fatally shooting a 48-year-old man at a house party in Bed-Stuy, according to the Brooklyn District Attorney's Office.

Ahmed Morrison, 22, pleaded guilty to first-degree manslaughter in September. A co-defendant, Unique Howell, 22, was sentenced to 17 years in prison for the same charge.

According to the Brooklyn DA, on Feb. 6, 2020, Morrison and Howell shot 48-year-old Kenneth Mark inside his home while he was hosting a party for about 15 people. Reports said Mark and others were playing dice when Morrison and Howell left the party.

At around 2 a.m., the two defendants returned with ski masks and armed with handguns and fatally shot the victim, according to the DA.

Morrison and Howell fled in a car belonging to Morrison's mother and were tracked down by police a few days later.
