The City of Danbury has lifted a boil water advisory that was issued over the weekend due to a water main break on Hayestown Avenue.

According to city officials, the water has been tested and is now safe to drink.

Residents are advised that if they notice any discoloration of their water, they should run the cold water until it is clear.

The water main break closed schools in the city on Monday.
