A group that uses horses to help trauma survivors is looking to raise money this weekend.
The Serenity Project in Darien was created to bring together trauma survivors and horses on the road to healing.
The project combines therapy with a licensed therapist and an equine coach.
Those going through the program work side by side with the horse to heal, so much so that even their hearts start to beat at the same rate.
The Serenity Project provides services to people recovering from any trauma: addiction, teens struggling with mental health issues, and much more.
The group is holding its second annual fundraiser on Saturday. Click here for more information.
