Connecticut State Police released dash cam video showing the moment a police cruiser intercepted a wrong-way driver on Route 8 in Waterbury.

It happened around 1:15 a.m. on Tuesday.

State police say an elderly driver appeared disoriented.

Officials said the person was transported to the hospital for evaluation.

The officer involved wasn't hurt.
