Democratic vice presidential nominee and Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz attended a Sunday night fundraiser in Greenwich, Connecticut, after his plane landed at the Westchester County Airport.
Walz attended the event hosted by Connecticut Gov. Ned Lamont and other prominent Connecticut Democrats.
Walz was surrounded by U.S. Secret Service agents as he made his first visit to Connecticut by a member of the Democratic ticket since Vice President Kamala Harris took over the campaign in July after President Joe Biden's decision to drop out of the race.
Walz was greeted on the tarmac by U.S. Sen. Chris Murphy, of Connecticut.
Walz's motorcade traveled about 25 minutes to the fundraiser where tickets sold from $1,000 to $100,000.
According to published reports, the Harris campaign has surpassed the $1 billion mark since she became the Democratic nominee for president.
