The driver who police say killed a pedestrian in Bridgeport earlier this year is now facing charges.
Milagros Rivera, 60, was killed after she was hit by Brenda Stroman on Union Avenue in May, according to police.
Officials have charged Stroman with negligent homicide, a charge that Rivera?s relatives say is not harsh enough.
"I was thankful that they charged her, but it wasn't what we were expecting" says Rivera's daughter, January Williams.
A second person who suffered injuries from the incident is still recovering, according to friends of the victim.
Officials say Stoman is currently out of jail after posting bond.
