Court documents state that Karen Gaston pleaded guilty to wire fraud and making illegal transactions.
Authorities say she spent the money on travel, luxury home goods, jewelry and mortgage payments.
She will spend four weeks in jail, with 10 months of home detention and 500 hours of community service.
