A Bronx theater put on a play Wednesday to help educate residents on the effects domestic violence has on families and the community as a whole.
Dozens of residents at the Pregones Theater participated in the interactive play. The director of ?The Phone Call? says the play is based on stories told to her by domestic abuse survivors. She says audience members were invited to share their opinions and even determine the outcome of the play. The director hopes the interactive approach will inspire residents to confront domestic abuse.
The Pregones Theater will have another performance of ?The Phone Call? on October 5 at 6 p.m. Admission is free.
