Rep. Jim Himes visited Brookside Elementary School in Norwalk as part of his annual Valentines for Vets program.
Each year, students and youth group participants create Valentine's Day cards for local veterans.
More than 50 schools and youth programs participated in the event.
Himes says it's a great way for local kids to show their appreciation to our veterans.
The Valentines Day cards will be distributed to veterans throughout Fairfield County leading up to the holiday.
