News 12 got a sneak peek inside of a brand-new medical facility on the East End.
It is a 22,000-square-foot, free-standing building set to open this spring.
The Stony Brook Southampton East Hampton Emergency Department is equipped with a state-of-the-art design.
“With an emergency room it is really about time and efficiency and making sure the patient is getting to the right level of care as quickly as possible," said Emily Mastaler, chief administrative officer for Stony Brook Southampton Hospital.
A total of $32 million has been donated for this project, and it took two years to complete.
