Even as inflation spikes around the country, some food items are costing consumers less.
Caleb Silver at Investopedia says overall inflation in the New England area fell by 1/3 of a percent.
"It doesn't sound like much, but it could be the beginning of a trend when we look at the food prices and we're looking at the items that actually fell the most, it's a very strange collection," Silver says.
Some items that have seen a price dip include pork sirloin roast on the bone which is down 68%. Another item that has seen a price reduction is artichokes which is down 48.4%
Chicken wing prices are down 33.4%, and tangerines are also down.
