An explosion in Easton sent pieces of a home flying through the neighborhood Thursday after the owner tried to cook.
A teenager who lives at the April Drive home says his father lit the stove about 6 p.m., setting off the massive boom. The teen says windows and bricks were blown from the home, which partially collapsed, and insulation went flying. Fire officials say 12 people were in the home at the time, but no one was seriously hurt.
The state fire marshal is investigating the explosion. The teen believes a gas line was not properly installed when the family had work done on a nearby pool.
