Fairfield officials announced they have met the state's affordable housing requirement.
First Selectman Bill Gerber said the town received a four-year "Moratorium of Applicability." This allows greater control over new housing applications during that time.
Gerber added that Fairfield still plans to explore new affordable housing options despite the waiver.
