A Fairfield mother says she is "praying for miracle" after her 2-year-old son fell into a backyard swimming pool.
Nicole Jones says the past three days have been "a nightmare."
"I haven't slept or had a moment's peace," she told News 12 Saturday outside of Yale New Haven Children's Hospital.
Jones said her 2-year-old son Anthony fell into a backyard swimming pool on Wednesday at a home the family is renting near Black Rock Turnpike in Fairfield.
"First responders gave him CPR when they arrived -- and now he's fighting for his life in the hospital," Jones said.
The child's aunt, Kimberly Washington, said the child is "a fighter."
"We believe in miracles -- and that's what we're praying for right now," Washington said.
