Fairfield University hosted a training seminar Tuesday to teach educators how to prevent violence and report crimes on campus.
Fairfield University received the 2008 Jeanne Cleary Award for excellence in public safety. The college also scored well in crime statistics.
The Jeanne Cleary Act, named to remember a student who was murdered on a Pennsylvania college campus, requires all schools receiving federal funding to report campus crimes.
