Police are searching for a man who donned a disguise to rob the First County Bank on High Ridge Road in Stamford Tuesday afternoon.
The robbery took place just before 4 p.m. when police say the man, wearing a fake beard, latex gloves and baseball hat, walked into the bank and demanded money. He then fled in a waiting black BMW with several thousand dollars.
According to police, the man may be connected to bank robberies at a Chase bank in Darien, the Hudson City Savings Bank in Norwalk and another bank in Westport.
Customers inside the bank could not tell if the robber had a weapon.
