1h agoFamily and friends gathered Monday to say goodbye to fallen veteran North Haven firefighter Matthias Wirtz.
A wake was held at North Haven Funeral Home on Washington Avenue.
Wirtz, 46, died last week while battling a house fire on Quinnipiac Avenue.
A funeral service will take place Tuesday at St. Barnabas Church at 11 a.m.
