The family of missing Greenwich honeymooner George Smith filed a lawsuit Thursday accusing Royal Caribbean of a cover-up.Smith disappeared last year while honeymooning with his wife, Jennifer Hagel-Smith, aboard a Royal Caribbean ship. Bloodstains were found on a canopy below the couple's cabin and the family claims the cruise line blocked a thorough investigation. Smith's wife is not involved in the current lawsuit, however, she previously filed a separate wrongful death lawsuit on her own. The family says Hagel-Smith wants to settle her wrongful death lawsuit quickly without having a deposition. As a result, they say they won't be able to subpoena any passengers. Hagel-Smith's attorney could not be reached for comment. Royal Caribbean officials say they are working with the FBI in its investigation and intend to prove the claims in the Smith's lawsuit filed Thursday are false.
