Hundreds of people could be seen lined up outside New York–New Jersey Stadium this afternoon as gates opened ahead of the Brazil vs. Morocco kickoff.

There were no major issues as fans arrived via NJ Transit and buses from the Port Authority in New York.

One fan told News 12 they paid $15,000 to attend the World Cup, purchasing two tickets to four games.

A father and son also came to watch the match together, the father saying the moment has been 35 years in the making.

The last time a FIFA World Cup match was played in New Jersey was in 1994.
