A Norwalk man accused of hitting three people with his car, killing one of them, appeared in court Monday.
Investigators say Hugo Cruz-Gregorio, 33, was drunk when he struck three people with his pickup truck off Woodward Avenue at around 8:30 p.m. Friday.
Police say Cruz-Gregorio fled the scene of the accident. They took him into custody two blocks away.
The man who was killed in the accident has been identified as Osmin Bonilla, 43.
Cruz-Gregorio is charged with driving without a license, DUI and manslaughter with a motor vehicle. The judge lowered his bail today from $750,000 to $300,000. He's due back in court Nov. 10.
