Fire officials: 2 dead following Watertown house fire

It happened just before 4 a.m. on Pleasantview Avenue in the Oakville section of town. Crews arriving at the scene found the home fully involved and the roof collapsed.

Two people were found dead following an early morning house fire in Watertown, Fire Chief David Bromley says.

It happened just before 4 a.m. on Pleasantview Avenue in the Oakville section of town.

Crews arriving at the scene found the home fully involved and the roof collapsed.

Officials say the fire was knocked down quickly and that two bodies were found inside. Their identities have not been released.

No firefighters were injured.

The Watertown Police Department and Watertown Fire Department are investigating, along with the Office of the State Fire Marshal.
