The U.S. Department of Energy says renewable fuel can reduce harmful emissions by up to 65% on average.
City numbers from 2020 show Hunts Point nearly tripling the city average of hospitalizations for children with asthma.
Officials in attendance said they hope to see more of these fuel stations open across the Bronx.
