Renowned forensic expert Dr. Henry Lee got his first chance to try to shed light on the disappearance of Greenwich honeymooner George Smith. Lee, who was hired by Smith's widow, was in Miami Monday conducting tests on the ship from which Smith disappeared. Lee said he would be conducting five experiments, concentrating mostly on the canopy below Smith's cabin where bloodstains were found the morning he vanished.
Smith's family has publicly criticized Royal Caribbean for wiping away those stains before the FBI was called in. They believe their son was murdered and the cruise line has covered it up. Royal Caribbean denies that claim.
