Former Connecticut State Rep. Michael DiMassa is set to begin his prison sentence for stealing over $1 million in COVID-19 relief funds from West Haven.

Authorities say he stole the money while working as a city employee.

He is scheduled to spend 27 months in prison and has been ordered to repay West Haven nearly $900,000 upon his release.
