A teenager from Freeport has become the first female to earn the rank of Eagle Scout in the Iroquois district.

314ds agoA teenager from Freeport has become the first female to earn the rank of Eagle Scout in the Iroquois district.
That covers southwestern Nassau. Catherine Farrell, 19, joined Rockville Centre Saint Agnes Troop 163 two years ago.
For her Eagle project, Farrell raised money to buy equipment for cats at shelters.
She also assembled all the equipment.
