Funding has been earmarked for the demolition of the former coal plant in Bridgeport.
State Sen. Marilyn Moore says more than $22 million will go toward the wrecking.
It's part of approved funding from the Community Investment Fund.
In total, $100 million from the fund is going toward projects in Connecticut.
