Gas leak temporarily shuts down portion of New Canaan downtown

Police closed down part of Elm Street until about 10:30 a.m.

A gas leak shut down a portion of New Canaan's downtown area Wednesday morning shortly after 9 a.m.
Police closed down part of Elm Street until about 10:30 a.m.
Fire crews said they found the leak coming from a propane tank that was feeding a restaurant on that street.
There were no injuries. It has since reopened.
