Looking for a truly A-MAZE-ing trip to a farm? Then head over to Lyman Orchards where you can get lost in over 350,000 sunflowers.
Lyman Orchards started farming in 1741 and is known for its apples, peaches, small fruits and for its golf course. It's also known for its sunflower maze and delicious pies.
This year's maze theme is Clifford the big red dog.
"I will tell you that this year's design, there's some real challenges as you get down into the second half," says Lyman Orchards vice president John Lyman.
A dollar is donated for every ticket sold to Connecticut Children's, and the cancer and blood disorder division of the hospital.
The sunflower maze is open through Aug. 27 and the corn maze opens on Labor Day weekend.
The Apple Barrel market is celebrating 50 years and although it's known for its pies, Lyman says the donuts are by far the most popular.
There's even an ice cream shop and families can enjoy apple picking, which runs through November.
Lyman Orchards is open year-round with many different events and seasonal activities.
