Breast Cancer Alliance and the town of Greenwich kicked off their annual "Go For Pink" campaign for Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
Breast Cancer Alliance was founded in Greenwich in 1996 and has since transformed into a national charity.
To this date, the organization has granted over $32 million toward the fight against breast cancer.
Greenwich First Selectman Fred Camillo raised the Breast Cancer Alliance flag at Town Hall today to signal the beginning of the campaign.
Through its grants, the alliance helps fund Greenwich Hospital's free mammogram program.
Hospital staff say screening and early detection are key in the fight against breast cancer.
