Gov. Kathy Hochul has extended the state disaster emergency order due to the monkeypox outbreak.

Gov. Kathy Hochul has extended the state disaster emergency order due to the monkeypox outbreak.
The original order was issued in July has been extended twice since the virus is still a major threat.
The emergency will continue to allow for more speedy vaccinations by allowing EMS personnel, pharmacists, midwives, physicians and certified nurse practitioners to administer vaccinations.
On Oct. 27, Hochul's team will reevaluate and whether the emergency needs to be extended again.

  • Westchester – 87
  • Rockland- 12
  • Orange-15
  • Dutchess 10
  • Putnam -5
  • Sullivan-4
  • Ulster-2
