Gov. Ned Lamont said on Thursday he is not proposing another income tax cut for 2025.
The tax relief mentioned on Wednesday will be aimed at small businesses, according to Gov. Lamont.
"Some small businesses do have a tax obligation, even though they really don't have any income and de minimis revenues. That's a group I really want to pay attention to," said Lamont.
Lamont had previously signed and proposed a personal income tax cut in 2023.
He did not go into details on Thursday.
Lamont will unveil a new budget proposal on Feb. 5.
