Gov. Ned Lamont signed an executive order Friday to help renters during the coronavirus pandemic.

The order will stop evictions through July 1, except for serious issues like physical harm to another tenant or landlord.

For April, landlords have to grant an automatic 60-day grace period.

Renters can request an additional 60-day grace period for May if they have lost jobs or income due to COVID-19.
