Chef Adrien Blech's episode aired Thursday night.
Blech advanced to the second round and beat the celebrity chef.
He battled Flay by making a Vietnamese crepe.
The dish is a popular menu item at his restaurant Orienta in Greenwich.
In the first round, Flay asked Blech and the other contestant to create a dish using escarole.
Blech won that round and advanced to beating Flay.
